Returns & Refund Policy

At Bedford Number Plates, a trading name of Official Plates Ltd (Company Number: 12813637, registered in England & Wales), we manufacture high-quality, personalised number plates to your exact order. Because these are custom-made items, they are non-returnable unless faulty or supplied incorrectly. This policy explains when refunds apply, how to request them, and what situations are excluded.


Refund Eligibility

We will issue a refund or replacement in the following situations:

  1. Production Errors
    If we make a mistake during production (e.g., wrong registration, incorrect size, or design not matching your order), we will provide either a full refund or a replacement at no extra cost.

  2. Damaged or Defective Products
    If your plates arrive damaged or defective, please contact us within 14 days of delivery with clear photos of the packaging and plates. Once verified, we will either refund your purchase or send a replacement.

  3. Cancellation Before Production
    Orders may be cancelled and refunded if production has not yet started. Production begins once your documents and payment have been verified. After this point, cancellations are not possible.


Refund Process

To request a refund:

  1. Contact Us – Reach our support team via our Contact Page. Include your order number and a description of the issue, along with supporting photographs if applicable.

  2. Verification – Our team will review your request and may ask for additional details.

  3. Approval – If your claim is approved, we will process your refund within 2 business days. Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Please note: processing times may vary depending on your bank or card provider.


Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds cannot be given in the following cases:

  • Change of Mind – Orders cancelled simply because the item is no longer wanted.

  • Customer Input Errors – Incorrect details supplied by you (e.g., spelling mistakes, wrong registration, incorrect spacing/style).

  • Late Requests – Claims made more than 14 days after delivery.


Returns

As number plates are personalised products, they cannot be returned unless faulty or incorrect.
If you purchase a non-personalised accessory or product from us, standard return rights may apply — please contact us for details.
Return shipping (where applicable) is the customer’s responsibility unless the product is faulty or we supplied the wrong item.
