Surface must be flat, 100% clean and dirt free.
- Before removing old plates, clean the vehicle around the plate
- Apply masking tape around the plate to mark the position of where the new plate is to be positioned
- Remove old plates and clean the surface thoroughly, ensure there is no dirt or grease left behind
- Affix sticky pads equidistantly on the back of the plate and guide the plate to where it is to be fitted (using the masking tape as a guide)
- Ensure the plate is in line with the masking tape and push plate onto the vehicle
- Run your palm across the plate to ensure all sticky pads have made contact, then use both hands to push the plate onto the car with pressure for around 30 seconds
Tip
- Adhesive bonds better and quicker when applied in warmer condition than cold
- Wash the car before fitting plates so the car is fully clean when plates are on
- Do not use sticky pads if surface is wet or when it is raining
Screws and Caps
- Remove old front plate from vehicle
- Place new front plate on the ground with the registration number facing down
- Place old front plate on top of the new plate, ensuring both registration numbers are facing the ground
- Insert a pen through the screw holes on old plate to mark the screw positions on the new plate
- Gently drill the new plate in the marked position with a small drill bit first, then a larger one
- Insert the screw through the screw cap and screw plate to vehicle. Do not overtighten, gentle finger tight will suffice. Close the screw cap
- Repeat for the Rear plate
Tips
- Do not drill through the front of the plate, this can potentially push the backing off the plate
- Screw holes for the front plate may not match the holes on rear plate, ensure you mark screw positions with corresponding plate
